History At Mackeys Ferry, we’re like our father mill, J.W. Jones Lumber Company, in that we respect our clients the same way we respect our wood. Originally built in 1959, and acquired in 1987, we’ve continued to move forward with innovative vision and a hands-on approach to equipment development and modification. Today we employ a total of 75 people and we produce nearly 15 million board feet per year. Our technology is state-of-the-art and we’re respected internationally.
